What do you do as Super Advance Web Developer Extraordinaire?
I like to consider myself the ‘Frank’ of Web but I started working here first, so really, Frank is the Phil of Post Production but that is just semantics. I help mentor the team and expand our skills and standards for development in the department. I turn all of our wonderful designers ideas into interactive websites and applications.
Why did you decide to become a developer?
I decided to become a developer because I wanted to be able to build video games. I was big into Ultima Online in ’96 and saw that there was a small group of developers building an emulator that allowed you to run your own server. Because of that you could add your own features and script your own actions using assets from the game. I became more heavily involved in that community and am still in touch with a few from that group to this day. It slowly moved away from video game development, to 3D modeling development, to networking, then landed ultimatley at web and application development.
