The Holiday Season is here and we love working on holiday projects with our clients. Creating a video to celebrate the holidays is a wonderful idea for any business because it shows your clients that you care! We did some reminiscing and went back through the last few years of some holiday work we’ve done to pull out some helpful tips! Take a look.
Say Thank You
A holiday video can be a great way to recap the year and thank your customers for their support. It’s also a fun way to give your audience some statistics in an engaging way. In 2013 we worked with Tennessee SCORE to create an animation for the holidays that thanked educators, parents, students, and all Tennesseans.
Show Your Personality
Content created around the holidays should be full of life and show of your company’s personality! Let your employees dress up in their finest holiday sweaters and have some fun. Direct General did a wonderful job with this in 2014 when their employees got together and danced around, all just to say Happy Holidays! (Best Practice Alert! Direct General creates great videos for lots of different holidays throughout the year. Peek at their Mother’s Day and Father’s Day videos.)
Be Helpful
Some people look at the Holidays as a stressful time. Be a helping hand to your audience and give them something they can use! In 2015 we worked with Kirkland’s to do a few “snackable” sized short videos for the holiday season. They demonstrated how to set a holiday table, how to wrap a present, how to use ribbon on a tree, and more!
Make it Meaningful
One of our favorite ingredients in a successful holiday video is making it really meaningful for an audience. It doesn’t have to be flashy or long, just something that will resonate. Delta Dental of Tennessee created an inspiring holiday video using a drawing from a 10-year old in order to bring awareness to a foundation that raises money for children’s hospitals across the state.
